My reliable cars, the low mileage 02 Miata and 3800-powered Buick are currently broken. My girlfriend and I are thus daily driving the $1 Sentra SE-R and the ghetto turbo NA Miata. Obviously I should buy a v12 XJS and enjoy decades of trouble free driving. Side note: totally getting a “jagwire” license plate for the NB, because IMO it looks like a shrunken XK convertible and also because I can’t help but copy JayhawkJake.

I drove an LS400 four miles and the fuel pump shat itself and the power steering pump broke.

The engines are, the cars not so much. I owned a 3800SC and knew many people who did. They had a laundry list of problems, like, if you wanted them to hold an alignment you had to replace the tie rods every year, you could set your watch based on the transmission failures, etc. There is a reason they’re not on the road anymore, and it’s because they’re massive, expensive, and uninspired hunks of shit.
